Human Resources

As a successful, international broking business with a global presence, TFS actively seeks quality people to join its teams of professionals.

TFS’s goal is to provide superior client services. It believes its business success is a direct reflection of its employees and recruits. As such, teamwork, creativity, reliability and integrity are components of a work ethic taken very seriously since the company was founded in 1985.

TFS is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

TFS recruits throughout its global offices in the following areas:

  • On its dealing desks (brokers of commodity, energy, equity and financial products);
  • Front and back-office support;
  • Administration; and
  • Communications, and IT support and developers.

TFS Broker Training Programs

Furthermore, TFS runs “Broker Training Programs” in New York and London, typically once a year.  These programs are aimed at applicants with little or no prior experience of broking, who are looking for an entry-level position in broking.

The Broker Training Programs comprise a mixture of hands-on training and formal tuition, usually over a period of one or two months.  Places on the programs are limited and there is no guarantee of employment on completion of the programs. However, at the end of the program, permanent employment may be offered to a small number of the original entrants. (NB: Students are expected to cover their own expenses, as there is no remuneration offered for the programs). Students will gain an insight into the day-to-day reality of broking, through both multi-product on-the-desk observation and formal tutorials.

Dates of next programs:

  • New York: July 2007
  • London: June 2007
